Purist Gallery goes to Melbourne
The quiet of the bush surrounds at Purist Gallery have been reverberating as Penny’s ‘Love Conversations’ paintings have been lovingly padded and packed off to Melbourne. Penny and Max will follow them – though not in the cargo hold.

ArtMelbourne ‘08 is held at the Royal Exhibition Hall Carlton from April 17 to April 21.

Max Ball shines again!
Max Ball has just been notified that his piece titled ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ is to be included in the Bi-Annual ‘Contemporary Wearables’ Jewellery Competition at Toowoomba Regional Gallery in August this year. There were 200 entries from around Australia and New Zealand of which only 60 were selected to be in this prestigious exhibition. This is the 3rd time Max has had his work selected in this competition. The winners will be announced at the opening in August. The exhibtiion also will tour the east coast in 2008.

‘Twinkle Twinkle’ is in the form of a bracelet where spheres and stars orbit in a galaxy of silver around the wearer’s wrist.

‘Twinkle Twinkle’ is the result of a concerted design effort to create a new range of wearable art inspired by Max’s thoughts about life, the universe and everything.

‘Twinkle Twinkle’ evolved through his participation, with 6 other Margaret River based artisans, in a design cluster group mentored by ‘FORM,’ Perth Centre for Contemporary Design. The ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ jewellery and sculpture range will be on display this December and January at Purist Gallery in Yallingup and at Bunbury Regional Galleries in December this year.

Leeuwin Estate include Penny Hudson painting in 'Art Series' collection.
Leeuwin Estate Winery in Margaret River, recently purchased a painting from Penny's 'Red Heart Beat' series as the label for their 2002 Pinot Noir.
It is part of their 'Art Series' wines which they sell at Leeuwin Winery. Penny joins other top Australian artists in the 'Art Series' collection, such as Lloyd Rees, Sidney Nolan, John Olsen and Arthur Boyd.
The painting is hanging in their collection in the gallery at Leeuwin Winery.
